Wisdom Motor and H2 Delivery have signed a Memorandum of Understanding in Münster on cooperation for CO2-free mobility (“Joint Cooperation of Zero Emission Vehicle Solutions”).
Wisdom Motor is a manufacturer of zero-emission commercial vehicles, H2 buses, tractor units, and specialty vehicles. H2 Delivery is investing in the acquisition of these climate-friendly, hydrogen-powered commercial vehicles both for its own green freight forwarding activities in Germany as well as for its vehicle distribution to other companies as a so-called pay-per-use provider.
Wisdom Motor presented three hydrogen-powered vehicle types for the first time at the IAA commercial vehicle trade fair in Hanover in fall 2024. Wisdom then visited H2 Delivery’s Mittelelbe industrial and commercial park and H2 Mobility’s hydrogen filling station in Magdeburg for the market launch in Germany.
Building on this, the “Memorandum of Understanding” has now been signed at Münster City Hall to put the hydrogen commercial vehicles on the road. The signatories were Wisdom Motor President Tay Cheong Lip and H2 Delivery Managing Partner Dr. Ludger Hellenthal. Tay emphasized during his visit to Münster: “We are looking forward to H2 Delivery’s return visit to Wisdom in early 2025 for further coordination and plan to put the first H2 tractor units and buses with H2 Delivery on the road next year.”
Falk Schulte-Wintrop, Director of Sales & Business Development at the hydrogen filling station operator H2 Mobility Germany, was present online during the signing ceremony. He contributed his market experiences in setting up and operating hydrogen filling stations and highlighted that hydrogen trucks can now be refueled at almost 50 filling stations in Germany. “We welcome the commitment and pioneering spirit of Dr. Hellenthal and his team to test new fuel cell trucks and introduce them to the market. Wisdom Motor’s products offer the opportunity to create a very commercially attractive offer and thus drive forward the further expansion of hydrogen filling stations,” said Schulte-Wintrop.
Regarding maintenance/services, H2 Delivery has been working with Beresa on climate-friendly commercial vehicles since May 2023 and handed over the first vehicle to a major customer in Senden near Münster in May 2023 and subsequently presented it at the Transport Logistic trade fair in Munich.
With almost two years of experience under their belts, the signing of the memorandum was followed by a workshop at Beresa with company representatives Norbert Bökamp and Heiner Markwart. Bökamp referred to the 19 Beresa service locations from Münster to Bielefeld to Hanover and the recently acquired Lemgo location. In this respect, Beresa has made a name for itself on the market as a specialist in the servicing of these climate-friendly commercial vehicles with high-voltage technology.
